We love baked Kale chips, especially with lots of seasoning on it. So crunchy and flavourful. A good alternative to regular chips if you are or would like to avoid potato chips.
You either love Kale or you’re not a fan of it. Even if it is cooked, baked or blended. With all of the love and hate, I created an easy way to add kale to a meal as a seasoning.

Taste of savoury, lightly salted, a hint of cheese, and a slight earthy note.
You can add this seasoning on or in:
- loaded baked potato
- macaroni and cheese
- seasoning for stir fry
- French fries
- Buttery baked sweet potato

Savoury cheese kale seasoning recipe - vegan gluten free

Equipment
- Blender
- 1 large mixing bowl
- whisk, spatula
- tsp, 1/2 tsp, tbsp
- Parchment Paper
- Large baking sheet
Ingredients
- 1/2 Bunch of Kale. Approximately 5 - 6 stems.
- 1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive oil, or Sunflower Oil
- 2 tbsp Nutritional Yeast
- 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Onion powder
- 1/2 tsp Smoke paprika
- 1/4 - 1/2 tsp Himalayan or sea salt ground
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300°F
- Use a large baking pan and add a piece of parchment paper.Wash and dry the Kale. Tear or cut off the leaves from the stem. Compost the stem. Dry off the kale leaves with paper towels or in a salad spinner. Then add the dried Kale leaves to a large mixing bowl.Add the olive oil to the kale. Mix and rub together the leaves so all the leaves are coated.Add in all the ingredients and mix again with spoons.Add the prepared kale to the baking pan and spread them out as best as you can.
- Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes. Turn the pan every 10 minutes so they dry and crisp up evenly. do not let them burn.
- When the Kale is done, you can enjoy eating some and the rest toss in a blender until all ground down into a fine seasoning.Put in a small container once cooled down.
- Store Covered in the fridge for 1 week.
